Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Facilities Maintenance Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in facilities maintenance, mechanical knowledge, and the ability to work with various systems and equipment. This role involves performing routine maintenance, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring that all equipment operates efficiently and safely. The ideal candidate will be a team player able to work autonomously, communicate effectively and responsibly. The goal is to maintain the buildings and common areas in first class condition.
Responsibilities
- Survey and conduct regular inspections of facilities and equipment to identify maintenance needs.
- Perform minor maintenance of electrical systems (replace light bulbs, ballasts, drivers etc.)
- Perform grounds keeping maintenance (maintaining ingress/egress points, policing parking garage for debris etc.)
- Complete work and repair orders in a timely fashion.
- Perform general maintenance when necessary (door hardware etc.)
- Perform routine preventive maintenance.
Qualifications
- Facilities Maintenance experience.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot various systems.
- General electrical and plumbing knowledge.
- Working knowledge of tools, common appliances and devices.
- Problem solving skills.
- Good physical condition and ability to handle physical workload with a willingness to work overtime.
- Deadline and detail oriented.
- Proficient in English, both written and verbal communication skills are essential.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $22.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
