ABOUT THE POSITION
This position oversees the clinical support functions of the practice including aestheticians, medical assistants, nurses, scribes, and patient counselors. Train and educate the next generation of clinical nurses, medical assistants, and pre-med/pre-pa students in our gap year program by overseeing our educational program.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
The Nurse Manager/Educator will oversee the clinical support functions including but not limited to:
- Supervision of Clinical Staff: While providing physician support as a nurse, supervises other nurses, aestheticians, medical assistants and all clinical support staff. Coordinates with HR for scheduling of clinical staff based on physician and practice needs. Conducts ongoing employee evaluation of clinical staff on a regular basis and reports that to HR and Administrator.
- Medical Records: Safeguards all patient information in accordance with practice policies and HIPAA standards.
- Administrative Support: Provides assistance and support to the administrator by ensuring all clinical policies and procedures are maintained in written form within accessible manuals, available for reference by staff members. Working in concert with the physician director, assists in ongoing internal chart review as needed to ensure appropriate medical recordkeeping and regulatory compliance.
- Safekeeping of Practice Assets: Ensures all equipment and facilities are clean and useable, regularly, and economically maintained, and constantly secured. Also provides staff training for new equipment prior to use.
- Education: Create a dynamic, learner-centered environment that uses a variety of teaching methods based on educational theory and evidence-based teaching and clinical practices that support the diverse learning needs of the clinical team. Maintain and enhance competence in subjects being taught. Draw on extant literature to design evidence-based teaching and evaluation practices.
- Coach: Serve as a coach and mentor for trainees; prepare and review coursework, confer with them on their progress and documenting student progress on appropriate forms. Exhibit a spirit of inquiry about teaching and learning, student development, evaluation methods, and other aspects of the educator role.

RN, LPN or MA
Optimal but not required
- Teaching experience of diverse students at multiple levels of education
- Experience working with leadership in healthcare
