Job Description
The Sales Representative will be responsible for promoting and selling high-speed fiber internet services to residential and multi-dwelling unit (MDU) customers, acting as the face of Ozark Fiber. The ideal candidate thrives in a competitive environment, excels in lead generation, and builds a strong sales pipeline. This role requires proactive outreach and customer acquisition in current and future service areas. Key responsibilities include:
- Achieving and exceeding sales targets through a consultative sales approach.
- Delivering compelling, personalized sales presentations with the goal of closing sales and registering orders.
- Actively canvassing residential neighborhoods and MDUs to identify potential customers and build a robust sales funnel.
- Engaging in outbound telemarketing and email campaigns to reach potential customers.
- Networking and seeking referrals to generate new business opportunities.
- Organizing and participating in local sales and marketing events to enhance brand visibility and community engagement.
- Advising prospects on their needs, presenting fiber internet solutions, and highlighting product benefits.
- Keeping CRM database up to date, tracking leads, and managing opportunities.
- Collaborating with the marketing team to nurture leads and optimize campaigns.
- Monitoring market trends and competitors to identify new opportunities or risks.
- Working with the operations team to ensure smooth onboarding and excellent customer service.
- This position will report to the Marketing Manager initially.
Required Experience and Skills
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Experience in door-to-door sales and outbound telemarketing preferred.
- Self-starter with strong attention to detail, capable of working independently and within a team.
- Strong decision-making skills, ability to meet deadlines, and manage multiple projects.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build rapport quickly.
- Comfortable using smartphones, tablets, and laptops for sales tasks.
- Energetic, friendly, and collaborative personality.
- Coachable, adaptable, and team-oriented.
- Willingness to travel locally for canvassing and sales appointments.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
- Physically capable of walking for extended periods and engaging with homeowners face-to-face.
- Strong presentation skills and a professional demeanor.
- Knowledge of sales principles and practices, with a successful sales background.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, early-stage company environment.
