Position Description:
This position is for a skilled Registered Nurse to join our Emergency Room and Med Surg team. As a member of our team, you will have the opportunity to work with a dedicated group of healthcare professionals who are passionate about delivering exceptional patient care.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough assessments of patients in the ER and Med Surg units, identifying their needs and developing individualized care plans.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians, maintaining accurate and up-to-date patient records.
- Monitor vital signs and report any significant changes in patient conditions, ensuring a safe and infection-free environment.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans, providing education and support to patients and their families.
- Assist in various procedures, including laboratory tests and cardiac catheterization when necessary.
Requirements:
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.
- Strong knowledge of anatomy, infection control practices, and emergency care protocols.
- Experience in an inpatient setting is preferred, with exposure to emergency nursing being highly desirable.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team-oriented environment while demonstrating strong communication skills.
- Familiarity with laboratory procedures and the ability to interpret lab results effectively.
