Job Summary:
- This position is responsible for conducting assessments of patients in the ER and Med Surg units, administering medications and treatments, and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough assessments of patients, identifying their needs and developing individualized care plans.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians, maintaining accurate and up-to-date patient records.
- Monitor vital signs and report any significant changes in patient conditions, ensuring a safe and infection-free environment.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans, providing education and support to patients and their families.
- Assist in various procedures, including laboratory tests and cardiac catheterization when necessary.
Requirements:
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.
- Strong knowledge of anatomy, infection control practices, and emergency care protocols.
- Experience in an inpatient setting is preferred, with exposure to emergency nursing being highly desirable.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team-oriented environment while demonstrating strong communication skills.
- Familiarity with laboratory procedures and the ability to interpret lab results effectively.
