Job Description
Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough assessments of patients.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
- Monitor vital signs and report any significant changes in patient conditions.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding treatment options and health management.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records using electronic health record systems.
- Ensure compliance with infection control protocols and safety standards within the ER environment.
- Assist in various procedures, including laboratory tests and cardiac catheterization when necessary.
- Provide specialized care for pediatric patients, adapting approaches based on age-specific needs.
Requirements:
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.
- Strong knowledge of anatomy, infection control practices, and emergency care protocols.
- Experience in an inpatient setting is preferred, with exposure to emergency nursing being highly desirable.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team-oriented environment while demonstrating strong communication skills.
- Familiarity with laboratory procedures and the ability to interpret lab results effectively.
- A commitment to providing compassionate care while managing high-stress situations efficiently.
- Previous experience in pediatrics is a plus but not mandatory.
