Patient Care & Assessment:
- Basic Patient Care: Provide routine patient care, including taking vital signs, assisting with activities of daily living, and changing dressings.
- Patient Education: Educate patients and their families on their condition, treatment plan, and the use of DME.
- Observation and Reporting: Monitor patients' conditions, report any changes or concerns to the supervising nurse or physician.
- Wound care: Provide wound care and manage dressings.
Durable Medical Equipment (DME) Management:
Product Selection and Training: Assist patients with selecting appropriate DME, including mobility aids, oxygen equipment, and other devices.
Equipment Maintenance: Ensure proper maintenance and cleaning of DME, including preventative maintenance and water analysis.
Inventory Management: Manage DME inventory, ensuring adequate supplies are available.
Problem Solving: Troubleshoot equipment problems with patients via telephone and ensure appropriate resolution.
Compliance: Ensure compliance with patient supply procedures, documentation, and relevant regulations.
Home Supply Packages: Prepare home supply inventory packages and monitor for efficient use of supplies.
