TITLE: SIGN LANGUAGE INTERPRETER
QUALIFICATIONS:
REPORTS TO: Building Principal and/or Executive Director of Special Services
JOB GOAL: The interpreter facilitates communication between students with hearing impairments and hearing people in the school community (teachers, students, administrators, other personnel).
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Ability to move around in the instructional area
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: Same days students are in session plus 2 extra days
TYPE OF POSITION: Exempt
EVALUATION: Annually by Building Principal
