Ozarka College in Melbourne is accepting applications for a part-time Fitness Center Assistant for the Paul Miller Fitness Center. The ideal applicant will possess an interest in gaining the education, training, and experience which provides the knowledge, skills, and abilities for this job. Candidates must be willing to gain current certification in CPR and First Aid. WORK SCHEDULE : Candidates must be able to work a flexible schedule. Hours will vary during Fitness Center hours of operation Monday-Friday 6am-7pm.
Duties and Responsibilities :
- Welcome, greet and provide assistance to facility users.
- Provide safe and effective instruction of all cardiovascular and weight training equipment.
- Conduct equipment orientations.
- Offer useful, tactful, and safe advice to individuals regarding their exercise program and / or use of equipment.
- Maintain and clean exercise equipment.
- Enforce all facility and program policies.
- Perform miscellaneous duties as assigned.
- Work at special events as they are scheduled (i.e., Health Fairs, health assessments, etc.).
