Ozarks Federal Savings & Loan Association, a $275MM community bank headquartered in Farmington, Missouri is seeking a Chief Financial Officer to direct the accounting, budgeting, financial and regulatory reporting, and investing and financing activities of the Association. This position will collaborate with the CEO and other executive and senior managers to develop, recommend, and implement business plans, products, interest rates, and fees, that support the Board of Directors' long-term strategic objectives and vision.
SPECIFIC JOB FUNCTIONS
- Oversee the financial functions of the institution.
- Responsible for overall management of general ledger and financial reporting in accordance with GAAP and regulatory requirements.
- Present monthly reports to the Board of Directors and senior management.
- Present and defend financial reporting decisions to Board of Directors, senior management, auditors, and regulators.
- Responsible for coordinating and documenting estimates used in accounting function, accurate and timely submission of regulatory reports including Call Reports, preparation of budgets and periodic analysis of budget variances, filing of accurate corporate tax returns with all taxing entities, oversight of payroll function, and maintaining current knowledge of accounting, auditing, and regulatory reporting requirements.
- Chair Asset Liability (ALCO) Committee and Allowance for Credit Losses (ACL) Committee.
- Manage institution’s liquidity and investment activities in compliance with policies, Capital Management Plan, pension plan, BOLI, correspondent banking relationships, and insurance coverage other than personnel.
- Coordinate annual external audits/reviews of financial statements and periodic validations of ALM IRR program, including resolution of engagement findings.
- Perform analysis of branch performance, product performance, etc., and research and recommend opportunities for profitability improvement.
- Participate in strategic planning, contract negotiations, and major purchasing decisions.
- Serve on various committees and special project teams.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field. MBA or CPA highly desirable.
- 5-10 years in progressively responsible accounting and finance leadership roles in the banking field..
