POSITION SUMMARY:
This position supports the work of the Y, a leading nonprofit, charitable organization committed to strengthening community through youth development, healthy living and social responsibility. The Accounts Payable Coordinator at Ozarks Regional YMCA stewards the Y’s cause, promoting and protecting the brand and reputation as a global, inclusive organization within the community. The Accounts Payable Coordinator will be responsible for monitoring the outflow of capital for the company.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Receives and verifies vendor invoices, expense reports and credit card receipts resolving discrepancies and ensuring proper approvals.
Facilitates payment process of vendors through Sage Intacct and Bill.com which will include vendor set-up and verification of W9 information.
Assists with the month-end process by developing accruals for routine expenses.
May assist in payroll processing and accounting systems to ensure timely and accurate processing of payroll transactions including salaries, benefits, garnishments, taxes, and other deductions.
May assist in processing of payroll updates including new hires, terminations, and changes to pay rates.
May assist in the preparation and maintenance of accurate records and reports of payroll transactions.
May assist in compliance with federal, state, and local payroll, wage, and hour laws and best practices.
May assist in updates to payroll accounting software, systems, and procedures.
Other related duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
High school diploma required; Business or Accounting degree preferred.
Certified Accounts Payable Professional (CAPP) certification preferred.
Experience with Sage Intacct and Bill.com preferred.
Must be reliable and trustworthy.
Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related programs.
Must be able to learn other accounting software systems.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to maintain confidential and meticulous records.
