QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must be 21 years of age or older
- Bachelor's degree in Education, Psychology, Sociology, Child Development or related field
- Minimum two years of experience managing multiple youth development programs and working directly with youth in organized programs.
- Experience in program evaluation and coaching teachers/program staff
- Proven experience meeting registration and attendance goals
- Experience working with budgets, fiscal management of programs, and fundraising.
- Excellent communication skills, strong organizational abilities, and problem-solving strategies
- Demonstrated leadership experiences in supervision, community collaboration and innovation.
- Ability to adequately observe program activities, enforce safety regulations and apply appropriate policies and procedures
- Visual and auditory ability to respond to critical incidents and the physical ability to act swiftly in an emergency
- Knowledge and experience working with state Childcare licensing.
- Commitment to inclusion and compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA).
- Dedicated to the Ozarks Regional YMCA and be deliberate in reaching outlined goals. Candidate must exemplify the YMCA Core Values and be able to communicate the YMCA Mission effectively.
- CPR & First Aid Instructor Certified (training can be provided)

This position supports the work of the Y, a leading nonprofit committed to strengthening community through youth development, healthy living and social responsibility. The incumbent supports the position of Executive Director and oversees assigned areas of the branch, which may include Early childhood learning centers, team coaching, marketing, programming, community relations and collaborations with community agencies.
Additionally, provides leadership to ensure that all services offered through the ORYMCA meet the member centric standards set by the organization. The Associate Executive Director will work with our mission and policies as a team player to further advance School Age Services’ strategies for the association. This critical role is responsible for planning, implementing, managing, and supervising an age and developmentally appropriate curriculum for the children and families we serve in programs delivered across the association, with a primary focus on the outlying branch sites. It is expected that an average work week will exceed 40 hours to accomplish the assigned duties.
