ECE Classroom Staff
POSTION: Early Childhood Education Classroom Staff
STATUS: Part Time / Non-Exempt
REPORTS TO: Cedar Ridge Program Director
POSITION SUMMARY:
Responsible for the development, organization and implementation of high-quality programs and events in areas of Early Childhood and all childcare related departments in Branson. Additionally, provides leadership to ensure that all services offered through the ORYMCA meet the member centric standards set by the organization. This critical role is responsible for planning, implementing, and supervising an age and developmentally appropriate curriculum for the children and families we serve.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Implements curriculum within established guidelines.
- Nurtures children through purposeful programming dedicated to building achievement and belonging in children and relationships among children and families.
- Provide children opportunities to build self-help and independence skills.
- Supervises children, classroom, and all activities, including ADA accommodations where appropriate.
- Ensures ongoing, systematic observations of individual children and consistently completes developmental assessments.
- Cultivates positive relationships, conducts parent conferences, and maintains effective communication with families.
- Ability to support children in need.
- Utilize solid judgment and discretionary skills as well as make independent decisions that will affect the YMCA and its departments.
- Ensure YMCA policies and guidelines are followed at all times.
- Maintain an environment that ensures children’s safety and well-being
- Plan and implement developmentally appropriate activities
- Ensure zero tolerance for abuse and actively participate in the protection of youth and teens.
- Performs all other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Experience working with children
- Ability to relate with children, parents and other staff
- CPR & First Aid Instructor Certified (training can be provided).
- Proven ability to interpersonally work with all people at all levels of responsibility
- Ability to take initiative, be flexible, use sound judgment, and work harmoniously with others
- Ability to develop new ideas and income strategies.
