What are the responsibilities and job description for the Adult Softball Umpire position at Ozaukee Christian Men's Softball League?
About the Role:
We’re looking for a dependable and knowledgeable individual to serve as umpire for the Ozaukee Christian Men's Softball League, which is comprised of 9 area churches. Games take place Monday nights in Belgium beginning at 6, 7:15 and 8:30pm. Whether you’re an experienced official or a passionate player with a strong understanding of the game, this is a great opportunity to stay involved with softball, earn extra income, and be part of a fun community.
Responsibilities:
- Officiate softball games in accordance with league rules and standards
- Ensure games are played safely and fairly
- Manage game flow, including keeping score and making calls on plays
- Report scores and any incidents to league coordinator after games
Requirements:
- Solid understanding of softball rules and gameplay
- Ability to remain impartial and calm under pressure
- Strong communication and decision-making skills
- Reliable transportation to and from fields
- Previous umpiring experience preferred, but not required
Job Type: Contract
Pay: $75.00 per day
