Description:
Ozaukee Christian School is prayerfully seeking the person God has been preparing to be our next Head of School.
Located in the center of Washington & Ozaukee Counties with a population of roughly 250,000, Ozaukee Christian School is the only K3-8th non-denominational Christian school in the area. We desire to see the academic, spiritual, social, emotional, and physical growth of each child and staff member.
Qualifications:
- Has a personal relationship with Jesus.
- An active member of a local church community.
- He/she must have a minimum of three years full-time teaching, or a School Business Administrator License or a Program Coordinator License. (Teaching experience is strongly preferred in addition to other licensure.)
- He/she must have a minimum of a Bachelor's degree and also have, or be committed to, pursuing a Masters Degree in Education or Administration, ACSI certified.
Head of School Role and Responsibilities:
Spiritual Leadership
- Lead the school spiritually with a lifestyle in agreement to our Statement of Faith modeled through speech, actions, and attitudes while discipling others through prayer, worship, and Bible study.
Staff Procurement & Development
- Lead the staff of OCS, evaluate and hire qualified candidates in administrative, teaching, and supporting roles, professionally develop staff on a continual basis, develop and implement human resource policies and procedures while exemplifying leadership skills.
Student Development & Formation
- Attend to the academic, spiritual, social, emotional, and physical growth of each child and partner with faculty and each child’s parent(s) in these efforts while developing and implementing programs to enhance the growth of each student's walk with Christ.
Educational/Administrative Functions
- Oversee all educational curriculum. Manage the finances of the organization and oversee all daily operations including marketing and facilities. Maintain adequate status with WI Department of Public Instruction (DPI) and the school’s accreditation status with ACSI while keeping abreast of local school district activities.
Relational Management
- Build Christ-like relationships with students, families, staff, and those in the community to promote the growth of God’s Kingdom, Christian education, and OCS.
Partnering with the Board
- Bring vision and strategic planning to the immediate and long-term future of the OCS. Collaborate with the Board to create and implement policies that will legally protect and continue to move the school in the direction God is leading while creating and implementing procedures to support Board policies.
