We are a growing non-denominational school currently serving 141 students in grades K3 – 8 since 1990. We moved to a new facility in 2019 to facilitate all of our growth and are located in West Bend, WI, a small town (population 30,000) 40 miles northwest of Milwaukee. We are fully accredited by the Association of Christians Schools International (ACSI) and participate in the Wisconsin Parental Choice Program.
Requirements:
- Have a personal relationship with Jesus.
- Be an active member of a local church community.
- Fully embrace a Christian perspective on education, and fully supports the school’s mission, vision, core values, and statement of faith.
- Hold a current Wisconsin teacher’s license or work to bring it up to date within a specified time period.
- Provide exemplary instruction for students using a wide range of strategies and techniques.
- Demonstrates a reasonable level of computer literacy, having a basic proficiency in doing word processing, creating and using a spreadsheet, e-mailing, Google Classroom, etc.
Key Tasks & Responsibilities:
- Create a learning environment that reflects a biblical worldview and supports the needs of each student.
- Plan and use appropriate instructional and learning strategies, activities, materials, and equipment that reflect understanding of the learning styles and needs of students assigned.
- Integrate Biblical principles throughout the curriculum and activities.
- Work within the framework of Redemptive Discipline as specified in our handbooks.
- Establish and maintain open communication by effective, professionally written communication and by conducting conferences.
- Attend and participate in staff meetings and daily morning devotionals.
- Serves in supervisory duties as assigned (recess, for example).
