Activity Assistant -Lasata Heights
This position is responsible for planning and implementing the Monthly Activities along with the monthly tenant/family Newsletter. Will be responsible for ensuring that activities occur as scheduled on the calendar. Must be able to drive the agency van and bus (must possess a valid driver's license).
Hours:7:30a-4:00p with some evening hours past 4pm. There is a holiday and weekend rotation
Position: Fulltime 40 hours per week
Creative monthly plan of activities representing a variety of Cognitive; Physical; Social; Community; Spiritual and Entertainment opportunities.

- Generate calendar drafts and newsletter for review by designated dates each month
- Distribute/post monthly activity calendars by the first of each month
- Work in coordination with dining staff related to parties and special celebrations
- Ensure proper set up of Activity Rooms/Supplies/staff assistance
- Actively recruit/remind tenants both in advance and on the day of the activity
- Clean up and organize supplies
- Maintain Family & Friends email distribution list for sending monthly calendar and newsletter
- Posting to the Campus Facebook page
- Other duties as assigned
- High school degree required
- 1-2 years demonstrated experience with activity planning and implementation
- 1-2 years’ experience supporting senior populations
