Job Summary
The Information Technology Support Specialist provides effective support for Ozaukee County Lasata Senior Living Campus hardware assets and software including vender coordination and support. Also provides similar support as requested to all County Departments. Full- Time
Essential Functions and Responsibilities
The following duties are primarily performed and are essential for this position. Employees are expected to be able to perform each of these job duties satisfactorily and successfully with or without reasonable accommodations to be qualified for the position. Other duties may be required and assigned.
70% Software/Hardware Support and Administration:
Provides high level support for Lasata Campus software and hardware with the ability to find solutions on their own. Manage campus PC inventory/warranties and suggest equipment replacements to Department Heads and IT Manager. Administer campus ECS Medical Charting System. Works closely with IT manager and vendors.
20% Software/Hardware Support at other County Buildings:
Provide similar software/hardware support to County Administration Building and other locations as needed
5% Support:
Supports Lasata security camera system along with building facilities. Work with County managed print services vendor to open trouble tickets.
5% Other Duties as Assigned:
Performs other technology duties assigned by IT manager.

Minimum Education Qualifications
Education and/or Experience Requirements:
- Two-year degree from accredited business/technical/trade college in electronics or related field preferred.
- Three years’ experience in IT preferred.

Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Qualifications
In order to perform the functions and responsibilities of the position (listed above) the following knowledge, skills, and abilities are essential.
- Proficient knowledge of setup and support of personal computers.
- Working knowledge of Windows Server.
- Experience with security camera systems and other recording devices.
- Experience in supporting mobile users.
- Ability to communicate clearly to the end user.
- Ability to stay calm in high-pressure time sensitive situations.
- Ability to be outgoing and personable.
- Skills in time management and workload management.
- Skills in customer service.
- Advanced computer troubleshooting, analysis, critical thinking and problem-solving ability.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities with frequent interruptions, occasionally in urgent situations.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Solid understanding of business practices with fundamental understanding of project management methodology
- Good organizational, analytical, and planning skills.
- Ability to communicate, interact and work effectively and cooperatively with people from diverse ethnic and educational backgrounds.
- Ability to work effectively with managers, staff, consultants, and representatives from other districts. Ability to read and adhere to organizational policies and procedures, government agency regulations, hardware/software specifications and procedures.
- Ability to prepare and write technical operational system documentation and knowledgebase articles for critical infrastructure and application systems.
