Responsibilities
- Manage and lead the Finishing Department employees to achieve operational goals.
- Conduct routine quality checks to ensure products meet customer expectations.
- Perform routine and preventive maintenance on mechanical systems and production equipment.
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical failures to minimize downtime.
- Develop and implement maintenance schedules to enhance equipment reliability.
- Collaborate with engineering and production teams to improve operational efficiency.
- Assist in the installation and commissioning of new equipment.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and company policies.
- Identify and implement opportunities for continuous improvement in department performance.
- Provide technical support and training to operators.
- Maintain and enforce Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Maintenance, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
- 3 years of experience in supervision and mechanical maintenance, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
- Strong knowledge of hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical systems.
- Experience with preventive maintenance programs and troubleshooting techniques.
- Proficiency in reading mechanical drawings and schematics.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Familiarity with OSHA and safety regulations.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Experience with PLC troubleshooting and automation systems is preferred.
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement techniques is a plus.
- Six Sigma/SPC understanding is advantageous.
- Knowledge of Microsoft products and experience with ERP systems is beneficial.
