Duties
- Cut, trim, and prepare various types of meat according to specifications and customer requests.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the meat cutting area, adhering to food safety standards.
- Package meat products for display and sale, ensuring proper labeling and presentation.
- Assist customers with their selections, providing knowledgeable recommendations about different cuts of meat.
- Monitor inventory levels of meat products and communicate needs for restocking to management.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to fulfill orders and maintain efficient operations in the food production area.
- Follow all health regulations regarding food handling and preparation to ensure customer safety.
Qualifications
- 1 year minimum experience in a retail or grocery store environment is required, particularly in food production or meat cutting.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to interact positively with customers.
- Knowledge of food safety practices and proper handling techniques for meat products.
- Proficiency in using knives and other cutting tools safely and effectively.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
