P&F Machining, Inc., in Otsego, Minnesota is seeking mechanical Quality Inspector III that will inspect industrial and medical products and materials using mechanical gages, CMM, and by vision to ensure products meet P&F standards and customer specifications. Second Shift:
Monday through Thursday, 3:00 pm to 3:00 am

Essential Functions:
· Perform GD&T mechanical inspection of parts and materials using a variety of electronic instruments, in a manual mode, including electronic height gages, comparators, CMM, micrometers, calipers, thread gages and pin gages for feature of size characteristics.
· Perform visual inspection of parts and materials using unaided eye and magnification.
· Perform 100% inspection on parts and materials as directed.
· Perform CMM inspection, interpret reports and readouts, for conformance to specifications, using established programs.
· Under limited supervision performs a variety of inspection functions including: first piece, in-process, final, and receiving inspection of machined parts or materials being received from suppliers.
· Ensure segregation and identification of non-conform product.
· Effectively communicates visual defect and technical areas of concern regarding dimensional accuracy and compliance with production, customers and suppliers.
· Ability to complete special inspection projects with direction.
· Performs detailed first article inspections.
· Works with machinists to assist in inspection methods.
· Accurate and reliable user of quality and MRP systems.
· Independently manages and maintains workflow and priority requirements.
· Oversee Level I inspectors work activities.
· Independently manages and maintains workflow and priority requirements.
· Effectively communicates with production and others technical areas of concern regarding dimensional accuracy and compliance.
· Perform other tasks as directed by supervisor.
· All essential functions must be performed in an efficient manner.
Skills and Qualifications:
· Intermediate understanding of GD&T.
· Working knowledge of 3D metrology.
· ISO 13485
· AS9100
· Applied understanding of process capability and Gage R&R theory.
· Working understanding of machining processes.
· Understanding of Coordinate Measuring Machine (run and interpret reports).
· Experience working in an ERP system.
· Ability to keep accurate records.
· Ability to follow documented procedures and standards.
· Ability to effectively mentor others.
· Ability to work independently and accurately perform multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment to assure delivery requirements.
· Strong attention to detail.
· Strong mathematic skills.
· Visual acuity.
· Fine motor dexterity.
· Effective user of computer.
· Basic working knowledge of Microsoft Windows and Office.
· Must demonstrate superb problem-solving skills.
· Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
Education:
Graduate of High School (required).
Certifications:
ASQ Certified Mechanical Inspector (preferred).
Background:
· Minimum of 3 years of experience working in Quality Inspection in a manufacturing environment.
· Machining experience (preferred).
· Experience operating a CMM or VCM.
