What the job looks like
Day to day you’ll prepare and post journal entries to the general ledger (GL); balance bank statement; reconcile various GL accounts; direct accounts payable function; coordinate weekly payroll; coordinate benefits administration.
- Post daily journal entries for time-critical processes.
- Post daily credit card entries from card service provider and balance corresponding GL accounts.
- Balance bank statement to GL cash account on a daily basis.
- Process incoming/outgoing domestic and international wire transfers.
- Process Federal backup withholding payments and file annual 945 return.
- Post and remit payment for charges on corporate credit card monthly statement.
- Manage trend analysis report for debit and credit card invoices.
- Prepare, pay, and file credit union invoices. Research and resolve discrepancies.
- Prepare and post month-end accounts payable accrual.
- Administer credit union weekly payroll processing via time and attendance system and coordinate with outsourced payroll services provider.
- Monitor PTO usage for all employees via time and attendance system.
- Remit salary and employee benefit adjustments to payroll services provider as directed by management.
- Coordinate employee 401(k) enrollments/changes with payroll services provider and retirement plan administrator.
- Remit disability benefit payment reports to payroll service provider for calculation of W-2 information.
- Assist in preparation of reports submitted to retirement plan administrator for annual testing of 401(k) plan.
- Backup Vice President of Finance daily duties.
- Other duties as assigned.
Important Qualifications to Your Success
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting and 3 years experience or 5 years accounting experience.
- Organizational skills; attention to detail
- Experience in Microsoft Office Suite, with emphasis on Excel and Word
- Understanding and experience with processes relating to confidential information
- Experience with payroll-related requirements and regulations

Pay: $55,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
