Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Alarm Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of various alarm systems, including fire alarms, intrusion detection systems (IDS), and CCTV systems. This role requires a strong understanding of low voltage systems, mechanical knowledge, and the ability to work with power tools. The Alarm Technician will ensure that all systems are functioning properly and meet safety standards.
Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and repair alarm systems including fire alarms, IDS, and CCTV equipment.
- Conduct regular inspections and testing of alarm systems to ensure optimal performance.
- Troubleshoot issues with alarm systems and provide effective solutions in a timely manner.
- Collaborate with clients to design system layouts that meet their security needs.
- Utilize computer networking skills to integrate alarm systems with existing infrastructure.
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing client inquiries and concerns regarding their security systems.
- Maintain accurate records of service calls, installations, and repairs performed.
- Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in alarm technology.
Skills
- Proficiency in computer networking to support system integration.
- Experience with power tools for installation and maintenance tasks.
- Knowledge of fire alarm systems and compliance regulations.
- Familiarity with low voltage wiring and installations.
- Understanding of intrusion detection systems (IDS) and their functionalities.
- Strong mechanical knowledge to assist in troubleshooting equipment issues.
- Experience with CCTV installation and maintenance is a plus.
- Previous experience as a service technician in the security industry is preferred.
- Ability to design effective security system layouts based on client requirements.
- Excellent communication skills for effective telecommunication with clients and team members.

Job Types: Full-time, Contract
Pay: $18.00 - $35.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
- Evenings as needed
- Monday to Friday
