Responsibilities:
- Prepare materials for internal and external transfer and/or shipping
- Ensure product is available to final inspectors at all times including the moving of empty skids
- Review, read and understand work orders and requisition forms to determine items to be moved, gathered, or distributed
- Perform Quality Control to ensure that products are going to the correct areas with correct product information on labels & shipping documents
- Responsible for the receipt, distribution, and storage of all product material.
- Log the receipt of material, transport to appropriate storage areas or distribute them to the correct machining center or department.
- Examine incoming and outgoing shipment contents and compare with records, (such as manifests, invoices or orders) to verify accuracy
- Check all dunnage for damage and follow procedure to remove from production floor.
- If problems arise concerning the destination of product or shipping methods require alteration, keep all involved parties informed of the changes.
- Must be able to interact effectively and professionally all internal and external customers (employees, truck drivers, etc.)
