P&K Stone, LLC offers high quality crushed stone, manufactured sand and recycled concrete. Our aggregate materials are used in a wide range of construction aggregate applications including infrastructure projects, commercial projects, and residential projects.
The Plant Manager role is based in Coleman, Oklahoma and reports directly to the Vice President of Aggregate Operations.
What you’ll get to do
- Direct the onsite team of hourly and salary staff to safely accomplish the Company’s business objectives.
- Proactively manage health & safety of employees to continuously improve the company's health & safety performance.
- Participate as a key member of the management team.
- Proactively plan and manage all aspects of the mining process including OB stripping, drilling and blasting, future site development, sump and water management.
- Assist with developing and managing the annual operating budget for the location.
- Participate in representing the Company in the local community.
- Build a culture of continuous improvement and pursue improvements in operational efficiencies.
- Develop hourly & salary talent through regular coaching and feedback.
- Manage a solid maintenance program to ensure that all assets are well maintained, ensuring that critical spares are available while minimizing inventory cost.
- Maximize cost efficiency by monitoring and controlling usage of supplies, minimizing waste, ensuring that mine equipment is operated efficiently, ensuring employees are kept fully informed of duties, looking for and encouraging process improvements and cost reduction opportunities.
Essential Experience and Skills
- In depth knowledge of aggregates production and associated equipment and processes
- At least 10 years of aggregates industry
- High school diploma or GED
- Computer and systems literate, including competency with Microsoft Office
- Analytical, data focused, and metrics driven with strong project management experience
- Proven commitment to team success and the grit to successfully work through challenges and achieve objectives
- Excellent leadership, communication, time management, and organizational influence skills
- Strong track record of leading safety and health, as well as regulatory compliance
Preferred Experience and Skills
- Bachelor’s or Associates degree
- 10 or more years of crushed stone or sand experience
- Experience interfacing with external stakeholders such as regulatory agencies, community organizations, or local chamber of commerce
Work Environment
- Role operates in a manufacturing environment with moving mechanical equipment, inclement weather, heat, humidity, elevated noise levels, and dusty conditions
