Unarmed Event Security Guard

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and vigilant Unarmed Security Guard to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for our clients, employees, and visitors. This role requires strong observational skills, the ability to respond effectively to emergencies, and a commitment to upholding safety protocols. The Security Guard will play a crucial role in loss prevention and ensuring compliance with company policies.

Responsibilities

• Monitor premises through regular patrols
• Enforce security policies and procedures to prevent theft, vandalism, and other illegal activities.
• Respond promptly to disturbances, or emergencies; assess situations and take appropriate action.
• Provide first aid and CPR as necessary while maintaining a calm demeanor during stressful situations.
• Document incidents accurately in reports for future reference.
• Collaborate with law enforcement when required and assist in investigations related to security breaches.
• Manage conflict situations effectively using conflict management techniques.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; certification in security or law enforcement is preferred.
• Proven experience in security roles or related fields is an asset.
• Certification in First Aid and CPR is highly desirable.
• Excellent observational skills with the ability to remain alert at all times.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with diverse individuals.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in high-pressure environments.
• Military or law enforcement background is a plus but not mandatory.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour

Schedule:

• 4 hour shift
• Evening shift
• Weekends as needed
• Weekends only
