We are a world renown, research based, leader in functional restoration established in 1983 and we are excited to be growing! We are seeking to hire a Bilingual Medical Case Manager (RN, Rehabilitation Counselor or LMSW/LCSW) to join our team in Dallas.
The Medical Case Manager at PRIDE assumes responsibility for assisting patients in goal-oriented decision making and problem solving, geared towards facilitating an increase in overall functioning. The Case Manager is in constant communication with the internal PRIDE treatment team members (physical and occupational therapists, psychologists/counselors, nurses, and physicians) as well as external parties (insurance representatives, rehabilitation nurses, employers, attorneys) attentive to the treatment outcomes for the patient. Others duties of the Medical Case Manager include performing disability assessment, vocational plan assessment and development, and quality assurance tracking during and after the therapy program.
Skills and Qualifications:
The Medical Case Manager will demonstrate skill in assessing for barriers to treatment, reflecting an attitude of commitment to teamwork, and providing quality care, all by collaborating with the patient. Possessing an Intermediate to Advanced knowledge of workers’ compensation systems, medical and psychosocial issues affecting disability, and vocational assessment techniques are critical for this role. Other Rehab Counselor qualities required to be successful for this role include the following: ability to follow through on tasks with precise attention to detail, self-confidence, assertiveness, and being sensitive to the needs of others, especially with an understanding and appreciation of individual cultural identity.
Education and Training:
The Medical Case Manager is required to be Bilingual (Spanish), an RN or have a Master’s degree in Rehabilitation Counseling, Social Work, or related field. In addition, the Medical Case Manager is preferred to have two years of experience in disability management, vocational rehabilitation, and/or medical case management. A well-qualified Medical Case Manager would also possess an active license or certification such as RN, CRC, CCM, LMSW, LCSW, Etc.
