Position Overview: We are seeking a motivated and customer-focused Salesperson to join our team. The ideal candidate will work closely with customers to understand their requirements, provide tailored solutions, and use specialized software to specify and customize doors and windows. This role requires a combination of technical aptitude, customer service skills, and sales acumen.
Key Responsibilities:
- Customer Interaction:
- Meet with customers in-person, via phone, or by email to discuss their needs and preferences for custom doors and windows.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers to ensure a positive experience.
- Needs Assessment:
- Assess customers’ requirements, taking into account design preferences, budget, and project specifications.
- Provide expert advice on available options, materials, and finishes.
- Product Specification:
- Use software tools to design and specify custom doors and windows that meet customer requirements.
- Ensure all specifications align with manufacturing capabilities and project constraints.
- Sales Process Management:
- Prepare and present detailed quotes, proposals, and sales agreements.
- Follow up with customers to address questions and finalize sales.
- Collaboration:
- Coordinate with the manufacturer to ensure accurate and timely delivery of orders.
- Provide feedback to improve products and services based on customer input.
- Administrative Duties:
- Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, orders, and sales activities.
- Utilize Point of Sale software for orders and invoicing.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in sales, preferably in the home construction, remodeling, or custom product industry.
- Strong understanding of doors, windows, and related construction or remodeling projects.
- Proficiency with design and specification software (product-specific tools) or the ability to learn quickly.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to assess customer needs and provide tailored solutions.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
