BASIC FUNCTION
Manage a 3-person Accounting Department. Reporting to the CEO. Process and audit financial records and payments. Resolves complex accounting problems. Evaluates and makes appropriate improvements to internal Accounting processes ensuring that practices are in line with the overall goals of the firm. Work with our next generation of executive leadership to recommend and implment best practices for A / E / C firms.
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES :
Responsibilities will include but not be limited to the following banking and accounting functions :
Coach and mentor Accounting staff
Monitor cash credits and disbursements
Ensure compliance with GAAP in all financial reporting and transactions
Review Transaction Posting logs and Annual Budget
Reconcile checking and loan statements for accuracy
Run revenue generation process.
Review Project & Task Revenue, Billing & Budgets
Collaborate with internal stakeholders to prepare budgets, forecasts, and financial analyses.
Lead the year-end audit process by coordinating with external auditors and providing necessary documentation.
Prepare income statement
Assist Marketing with Billing and Cost rates
Renew and Apply for state / city licenses
Complete bank deposits using remote deposit
Provide monthly Collateral Schedule and current AR
Oversee payroll processing
Spearhead R&D tax credit
QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS : Bachelor's Degree, Accounting
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS :
Minimum seven years accounting experience, three years management experience
KNOWLEDGE / SKILLS :
Experience with an ERP system
MS Office
Project Accounting experience
Strong ability to effectively communicate technical information to all types of people, both verbally and in writing; multitask and coordinate confusing and often conflicting priorities; strong communication, decision-making, analytical, problem solving and interpersonal skills. Leadership and organizational skills
NICE TO HAVE
Comprehensive knowledge of Deltek Vantagepoint accounting software
Experience in professional services firm
Salary Range : $145,000 - $160,000
