Job Details
Install, configure, upgrade, and maintain DB2 databases (LUW/zOS).
Monitor database performance and optimize queries to resolve bottlenecks.
Develop and implement backup, recovery, and disaster recovery strategies.
Enforce database security policies and ensure compliance with regulations.
Manage clustering, replication, and failover mechanisms for high availability.
Automate processes using scripting languages like Shell, Python, or Perl.
Identify and resolve database issues in collaboration with development and operations teams.
Plan for database scalability and capacity management.
Maintain detailed documentation of configurations, procedures, and best practices.
Require a bachelor s degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field.
Must have 10 years of experience as a DB2 DBA in a production environment.
Strong expertise in SQL, stored procedures, and performance tuning.
Experience with database monitoring tools (IBM Data Studio, Toad, etc.).
Preferred experience with cloud-based DB2 databases and hybrid architectures.
IBM Certified DBA - DB2 certification is a plus.
