Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Mechanical Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical systems and a passion for problem-solving. In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing and repairing mechanical issues, performing preventive maintenance, and ensuring the efficient operation of our equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on diesel trucks, sprinter vans, conversion vans, box trucks, lift gates, and some small equipment.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues.
- Accurately and efficiently perform needed repairs and maintenance according to manufacturer specifications.
- Maintain accurate records of services performed and parts used.
- Ensure compliance with all safety and DOT regulatory standards.
- Coordinate with other team members and management to schedule and prioritize repairs.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Keep up-to-date with industry standards and advancements in automotive technology.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of three years of experience as a mechanic, specifically working with gas and diesel vehicles.
- Strong knowledge of gas and diesel engines, vehicle diagnostics, and repair process.
- Proficiency in using computer diagnostic tools and equipment.
- Ability to read and interpret schematics (both electrical and hydraulic)
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong organizational and professional communication skills.
- Valid driver’s license
- Required to have your own hand tools up to 2" inch
- ASE certification or equivalent is preferred but not required.
