What You’ll Do

• Partner with business leaders, technology teams, and program stakeholders to gather, analyze, and translate business, functional, and process requirements into actionable technical specifications.
• Develop comprehensive documentation and artifacts such as process flow diagrams, interaction models, architecture diagrams, and data mapping documents.
• Assess current business processes and systems, identifying opportunities for automation, optimization, and transformation.
• Work closely with software developers, QA testers, solution architects, and product owners to ensure clarity and precision in development requirements.
• Define non-functional requirements including performance, scalability, reliability, and observability to ensure system resilience and efficiency.
• Break down complex requirements into detailed user stories and acceptance criteria within Agile development frameworks.

What You Bring

Experience & Background

• 10 years of experience in software development and/or business systems analysis.
• 3 years working in Agile-oriented delivery models.
• 3 years of hands-on experience with public cloud services (AWS preferred).
• Experience contributing to large-scale transformation programs.
• Prior experience in annuities, insurance, or financial services is highly desirable.

Skills & Expertise

• Business Systems Analysis – Expertise in requirements gathering, process mapping, and impact analysis.
• Technical Documentation – Proficiency in creating business and technology-focused artifacts such as architecture diagrams, process flows, and conceptual models.
• Data Analysis & Mapping – Strong SQL skills and experience defining data transformation rules.
• API Knowledge – Familiarity with API design, including request and response payloads (JSON, XML).
• Tools & Technologies – Experience with Visio, Lucidchart, Gliffy, or similar visualization tools.
• Coding Awareness – While coding is not required, the ability to understand and discuss code (Python, SQL) is a plus.
• Communication & Leadership – Strong ability to communicate complex ideas clearly and build relationships across teams.
