SKILLS:
- Minimum 2 years upholstery sewing experience
- Strong sewing skills

Machine Embroidery
- Operate embroidery machines (such as multi-needle or computerized machines).
- Load digital patterns into embroidery software for automated stitching.
- Monitor machine operation to ensure precision and quality.
- Adjust tension, thread colors, and fabric positioning as needed.
Finishing and Quality Control
- Trim excess threads and remove stabilizers after embroidery is complete.
- Inspect final pieces for defects, such as loose threads or misaligned patterns.
- Perform hand touch-ups if needed to enhance details.
Key Responsibilities of a Sewing Employee
1. Fabric Preparation
- Measure, mark, and cut fabric according to patterns or specifications.
- Arrange and pin fabric pieces before sewing.
- Select appropriate threads, needles, and materials for different fabrics.
2. Sewing and Stitching
- Operate industrial or domestic sewing machines to join fabric pieces.
- Perform various stitching techniques (e.g., straight stitch, zigzag, overlock, blind stitch).
- Hand-sew for intricate details, finishing, or repairs.
3. Assembly and Construction
- Sew and assemble garments, accessories, upholstery, or other textile products.
- Attach zippers, buttons, hooks, and other fasteners.
- Reinforce seams for durability and quality.
4. Quality Control and Finishing
- Inspect sewn items for defects like uneven stitching or loose threads.
- Press and iron finished products for a polished appearance.
- Trim excess fabric, thread, and stabilizers.
5. Repairs and Alterations
- Adjust clothing for better fit (hemming, resizing, tapering).
