Cyber Analyst (TS/SCI Clearance)
Project Summary:
This position supports the 16th Air Force (Air Forces Cyber) / A3 Readiness Directorate in ensuring the operational and tactical readiness of assigned Cyber Mission Forces. The Readiness Analyst will provide subject matter expertise in analyzing force readiness data, developing actionable recommendations, and contributing to joint and Air Force cyber operational planning. The analyst will work alongside military personnel and government civilians in a high-visibility, mission-critical environment, helping to shape cyber readiness at the strategic level for U.S. Cyber Command (USCYBERCOM) and the Department of the Air Force.
Job Summary:
As a Readiness Analyst, you will assess, report, and improve readiness for 16 AF/A3 operations, track force deployment capability, and identify capability gaps. This role involves interfacing with high-level stakeholders, preparing executive-level reports, managing cyber readiness tools (JCC2-R, DRRS, DCAPES), and supporting operational planning and policy development. Candidates must possess a keen eye for detail, strong analytical capabilities, and the ability to thrive in a Top Secret/SCI-cleared environment.
Location of Work:
Joint Base San Antonio (JBSA), 102 Hall Blvd., Bldg. 2000/2007, San Antonio, TX 78241. Some travel to CONUS locations is required.
Work Schedule:
- Monday through Friday, 8-hour shifts
- Flexible start times between 0600–0900 CST
- Core hours: 0900–1500 CST
- Federal holidays observed
Security Clearance:
- Must be an U.S. Citizen
- Must possess a valid driver’s license
- Active TS/SCI required prior to onboarding
- Must be eligible for additional polygraph and SCI indoctrination clearance with a current SSBI required
- Must meet DoD 5105.21 and DCID 6/4 requirements
- No use of wireless/PED devices allowed in classified workspaces
Required Experience:
- Minimum 2 years of experience with:
- Joint Cyber Command and Control Readiness (JCC2-R)
- Defense Readiness Reporting System (DRRS)
- Deliberate and Crisis Action Planning and Execution Segments (DCAPES)
- Previous experience in cyber operations, military readiness, or a related field is highly desirable.
- Experience working with Air Force, USCYBERCOM, or DoD cyber operations is strongly preferred
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Systems, National Security, or a related field
- Equivalent military or professional experience may be considered in lieu of formal education.
Technical Skills:
- Proficient in:
- Readiness reporting systems (JCC2-R, DRRS, DCAPES)
- Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
- Secure networks: NIPR, SIPR, JWICS
- Demonstrate ability to synthesize complex data into actionable intelligence and concise reports.
- Familiarity with policy analysis, task tracking, and mission capability assessments
Analytical & Problem-Solving Skills:
- Ability to analyze readiness trends, shortfalls, and risks across tactical and operational forces
- Must be capable of translating raw data into actionable insights and high-level briefings
Soft Skills:
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Confident in presenting findings to senior leadership
- Collaborative with government and contractor teams
- Adaptable to changing priorities and sensitive mission environments
- Detail-oriented and capable of working under tight deadlines with minimal supervision.
Physical & Other Requirements:
- Must be able to work in a Sensitive Compartmented Information Facility (SCIF)
- Occasional travel will be required for conferences and site visits
- Ability to sit, stand, and work at a computer for extended periods
- Must complete annual security, safety, and IA training within 30 days of onboarding
