About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Body Shop Technician to join our team at the Collision Center of Columbus. As a Body Shop Technician, you will be responsible for repairing and restoring damaged vehicles to their original condition. You will work closely with our team of professionals to ensure that all repairs are completed efficiently and to the highest quality standards. Minimum Qualifications:
- Able to work full time
- Completion of a vocational or technical program in auto body repair
- At least 2 years of experience in auto body repair
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
Preferred Qualifications:
- I-car certification in auto body repair
- Experience with computerized estimating systems
- Experience with aluminum repair and welding
Responsibilities:
- Performing body repairs on damaged vehicles, including frame straightening, welding, and panel replacement
- Preparing vehicles for painting, including sanding, priming, and masking
- Painting vehicles using spray guns and other equipment
- Inspecting completed repairs to ensure quality standards are met
- Maintaining a clean and organized work area
