Overview of P4G Capital Management

Founded in 2015, P4G Capital Management is a lower middle market, operationally focused private equity firm. P4G focuses on family owned businesses with demonstrated expertise in the industrials, aerospace / defense, business services, energy, and manufacturing sectors investing with our management teams to drive fundamental EBITDA growth. 100% of P4G’s investments are intended to be control investments in the lower middle-market targeting EBITDA enhancements through the application of a standard playbook addressing product / service set extensions, geographic expansions, customer perception / strategic focus changes, Lean / Six Sigma improvements, supply chain improvements, and accretive acquisitions using proven, process-driven transformational tools. P4G is a committed capital fund with ~$300MM in AUM from a diverse investor base.

Job Description

Your responsibilities as a Principal will be to lead the due diligence and investment management process by :

  • Individually contributing and leading more junior resources through the investment and due diligence process.
  • Participating and presenting in investment committee meetings.
  • Working in a team environment to select portfolio companies that will generate alpha.
  • Participating as a value-added member of boards & working with management teams to deliver growth and value (supported by P4G’s captive consulting team; called our Portfolio Resource Group).
  • Leveraging P4G’s sourcing networks to identify and source attractive opportunities.
  • Contributing to P4G’s investment processes, thought models, and other tools that strengthen P4G’s investments and investment acumen; collectively, P4G University.
  • Participating in training and mentoring junior resources to grow their skill sets and level of contribution.

Qualifications

Prior Work Experience & Education :

  • 8 to 15 (VP) to 15 to 20 (Principal) years of total work experience.
  • Prior investment experience within the GP of a Private Equity firm (8 years minimum).
  • Investment Banking experience a plus.
  • Operating experience a plus but not required.
  • Personal Attributes & Requirements :

  • Attention to detail, execution and client-driven.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, egalitarian and results-oriented environment.
  • Ability to travel within North America on a reasonably regular basis and internationally as needed.
  • Excellent writing, analytical and communication skills in English.
  • Strong interest in the Private Equity industry.
  • Computer Skills :

  • Impeccable presentation and design skills using PowerPoint.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Word.
