Job Description – Senior Point of Sale Engineer

A Senior Point of Sale Engineer at P97 Networks will maintain the lab point of sale (POS) systems, fuel pump simulators, electric vehicle charge points, and other related systems. This role requires lab maintenance but also forward thinking, preventative measures to keep systems up-and-running long term. The responsibilities require developing and maintaining relationships with POS vendors used by P97 across our global networks.


 ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES
· Creating and maintaining a pristine lab in P97 offices

· Continuous lab upkeep and futureproofing

· Training other employees on POS systems

· New lab and POS system setup

· Tradeshow setup, demos, and attendance

· Support at client and 3rd party partner sites

· Developing and maintaining relationships with vendors

· Testing software updates and keeping up with software versions per P97 branded customer

Requirements

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS


  • Demonstrated history of working with POS and fuel systems in the convenience store industry
  • Certifications and training on the following system:
  • Gilbarco Passport and related GVR products and dispensers
  • Invenco 
  • Verifone Commander and related VFI products
  • Dover Fueling Systems (Wayne)
  • NCR POS Systems
  • Willingness to work in a fast-paced, friendly environment with all divisions of a software development business


PREFERED QUALIFICATIONS


  • Certification and training with international, fleet and small-market POS systems such as:
  • Anthem
  • Fiscal
  • Comdata
  • Dover
  • Tolkheim
  • EdgePOS
  • Fusion
  • Bulloch
  • Compac
  • Orbis
  • Experience with Connexus 1 and Connexus2, Loyalty, Car Wash, Site Level Configuration
  • Troubleshooting networking, local hardware, site data, review of log files
  • Creation of Configuration and Certification Documentation, User Guides, Technical Whitepapers, 
  • History of working with electric vehicle chargers and related POS systems
  • Proficiency with Microsoft tools such as TEAMS, SharePoint, Word, Excel, PowerPoint
  • Proficiency in Atlassian software; Jira and Confluence
  • History working in an Agile/Scrum environment
