The Pennsylvania Institute of Technology (P.I.T.), a small independent nonprofit college, is seeking applicants for the full-time position of Development Coordinator to support its fundraising and donor management efforts.
The Development Coordinator plays a critical role in supporting P.I.T.’s fundraising efforts to ensure the organization’s sustainability and growth. This position is ideal for a detail-oriented and dynamic professional passionate about building relationships, executing fundraising campaigns, and managing donor data.
Key Responsibilities:
Donor Relations and Stewardship:
- · Maintain and enhance relationships with current donors, ensuring timely acknowledgment, recognition, and consistent engagement.
- · Assist in identifying and cultivating new donors, sponsors, and funding opportunities.
- · Coordinate donor appreciation events, communications, and recognition initiatives.
- · Support the planning and implementation of alumni relations.
Fundraising Campaigns:
- · Support the planning and execution of annual giving campaigns, major gift solicitations, and special fundraising initiatives.
- · Assist in crafting compelling appeals for email, mail, and social media campaigns.
Event Coordination:
- · Plan and execute fundraising events, including logistics, sponsor outreach, and day-of coordination.
- · Track event performance and provide post-event reports.
Data Management and Reporting:
- · Manage and update the donor database (e.g. Bloomerang) to ensure accuracy and confidentiality.
- · Generate donor and fundraising reports for internal use and board meetings.
Grant Support:
- · Assist in researching grant opportunities and tracking deadlines.
- · Provide supporting materials or data as needed.

Qualifications
Education and Experience:
- · Bachelor’s degree in a related field (e.g., Nonprofit Management, Communications, Marketing) or equivalent experience.
- · Minimum 3 years of experience in fundraising, event planning, or nonprofit development.
Skills:
- · Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- · Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- · Proficiency in donor management systems and tools (e.g., CRM software).
- · Proficiency in Microsoft Products
- · Comfortable using social media and digital platforms for fundraising efforts.
- · Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment while also being self-directed.
Preferred Qualities:
- · Familiarity with fundraising best practices and trends.
- · Experience with corporate sponsorships or partnership development.
- · Passion for helping non-traditional students.
