Seeking an energetic, dependable, and dedicated Direct Support Professional (DSP) to support an work with a female individual in the New Bloomfield, PA area . In this role, you will support the individual by providing services to increase her in home community support, prepared meals assist with bathing and bed time needs. assisting her in leading a meaningful life while promoting her independence and well-being, ensuring her safety, and fostering a positive environment. Monday - Friday - 4:00pm- 9:00pm Saturdays & Sundays - 8:00 am- 4:30 pm Pay $17.00 up to 18.00 per hpur depending on experince
Responsibilities
- Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation.
- Provide necessary personal care support.
- Monitor and document any changes in the client's condition.
- Ensure a clean and safe living environment by helping her perform light housekeeping tasks, such as; setting the dinner table, wash dishes after dinner, dispose of trash.
- Engage clients in meaningful activities that promote social interaction and cognitive stimulation.
Requirements
- Previous experience in direct support or caregiving is preferred but not mandatory.
- Ability to assist clients with home community care tasks.
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with clients, families, and team members.
- A caring attitude committed to enhancing the quality of life for individuals with disabilities or special needs.
