What are the responsibilities and job description for the Direct Support Professional position at PA Lifesharing LLC?
We seek a compassionate and dedicated Direct Support Professional to work 1:1 with a male individual in the Leymone, PA, area. You will provide essential support and assistance to individuals with varying needs in volunteering opportunities, the home, and their community. Your primary focus will be to enhance the quality of life for those you serve by promoting independence and fostering a supportive environment.
20 hrs per week. Pay $18.00 up to $19.00 depending on expereince
Responsibilities
- Provide direct support to individuals in their daily activities, .
- Assist clients with transportation needs.
- Engage clients in social and recreational activities to promote community involvement and personal growth.
- Document client progress and report any changes in behavior or health to the appropriate personnel.
- Administer first aid if needed and ensure compliance with safety protocols.
Qualifications
- Experience in direct support, home community care, group home settings, or assisted living is preferred but not necessary.
- Strong caregiving skills with the ability to lift and assist clients as required.
- Knowledge of senior care practices is a plus.
- Certification in first aid or CPR is highly desirable.
- Excellent communication skills and a compassionate demeanor are essential for building rapport with clients.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team while also being self-motivated.
- Flexibility to work various shifts as needed to meet client requirements.
