Responsibilities
- Provide direct support and assistance to individuals with developmental disabilities in daily living activities.
- Implement individualized care plans to promote independence and personal growth.
- Assist clients with personal hygiene, meal preparation, medication management, and transportation needs.
- Monitor and document clients' progress and any changes in behavior or health status.
- Foster positive relationships with clients to encourage social interaction and community involvement.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care for clients.
- Participate in training sessions to enhance skills related to caregiving and client support.
Qualifications
- Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or similar populations.
- Strong caregiving skills with a focus on compassion and empathy.
- Knowledge of long-term care practices is preferred but not required.
- CPR certification is required; additional certifications are a plus.
- Ability to assist clients with personal care tasks effectively.
- Good communication skills for interacting with clients, families, and team members.
- Familiarity with monitoring vital signs is beneficial but not mandatory.
