What are the responsibilities and job description for the Paraprofessional (or PCA) position at PA Lifesharing LLC?
Seeking a Personal Care Assistant/Paraprofessional to assist in school settings with students and assist the classroom teacher with individuals in thier classes.
Need two(2) PCAs at Hilltop Academy (Mechanicsburg, PA, 17055) and need two(2) PCAs at Diakon Wilderness Center (Boiling Springs, PA., 17007 ) and
Monday - Friday,
- PCA- pay $19.00 with experience.
- Paraprofessionals must have certifications - $20.00 per hour.
Responsibilities:
- Provide personal care assistance to individuals at school
- Assist with activities at school and toileting
- Assist with feeding if necessary
- Provide companionship and emotional support to the student
- Implement behavior management techniques for students or other behavioral challenges
- Follow school guidelines and ensure the privacy and dignity of the students
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in personal care assistance preferred
- Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and maintaining client confidentiality
- Ability to work with individuals with special needs
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work well with others
- Compassionate and patient demeanor
