Seeking a Personal Care Assistant/Paraprofessional to assist in school settings with students and assist the classroom teacher with Students' care.
Needs two(2) PCA/Paraprofessionals at Diakon Wilderness Center (Boiling Springs, PA., 17007 ) and two(2) PCA/Paraprofessionals at Hilltop Academy (Mechanicsburg, PA, 17055)
Monday - Friday,
- PCA- pay $19.00 with experience.
- Paraprofessionals must have certifications - $20.00 per hour.
Responsibilities:
- Provide personal care assistance to individuals at school
- Assist with activities at school and toileting
- Assist with feeding if necessary
- Provide companionship and emotional support to the students
- Implement behavior management techniques for students or other behavioral challenges
- Follow school guidelines and ensure the privacy and dignity of the students
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in personal care assistance with children preferred
- Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and maintaining client confidentiality
- Ability to work with students with special needs
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work well with others
- Compassionate and patient demeanor
