Job Title: Locum Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner – Internal Medicine (Nights)
Location: Edison, NJ

Compensation: $110/hour
Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM (Inpatient)

We are actively seeking a Physician Assistant (PA) or Nurse Practitioner (NP) with experience in internal medicine for a locum tenens opportunity in Edison, NJ. This role is based in a fast-paced inpatient med/observation unit, working overnight shifts (7p–7a).

You will be supported by another advanced practice provider on shift, with a hospitalist available for backup.

• Schedule: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM

• Contract Duration: May 30, 2025 – November 28, 2025

• Pay Rate: $110/hour

• Type: Locum Tenens

• Support: Work alongside another APP, with hospitalist available

• Credentialing: Rapid credentialing available

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage patients in an inpatient med/observation unit

• Perform admissions, patient evaluations, and overnight management

• Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals

• Document and update patient charts accurately and promptly

• Respond to patient care needs and acute changes in status

Requirements:

• Active PA or NP license in the state of New Jersey

• National certification (AANP, ANCC, or NCCPA)

• DEA and CDC licenses 

• Inpatient/internal medicine experience required

• Acute care experience required

• Ability to work in a fast-paced clinical environment

• Strong clinical judgment and communication skills
