Job Title: Physician Assistant/Nurse Practitioner – Emergency Department

Location: Bristol, PA

Employment Type: Full-Time, Independent Contractor (1099)

Compensation: $115 per hour

Job Summary: We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Physician Assistant (PA) or Nurse Practitioner (NP) to join our Emergency Department team in Bristol, Pennsylvania. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality, patient-centered care in a fast-paced emergency setting, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to assess, diagnose, and treat a diverse patient population.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including history taking and physical examinations.

• Order, interpret, and evaluate diagnostic tests to identify and assess patients' clinical problems and health care needs.

• Develop and implement treatment plans; prescribe medications and therapies as appropriate.

• Perform procedures such as suturing, splinting, and wound care, adhering to scope of practice regulations.

• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient care.

• Educate patients and their families on health conditions, treatment plans, and preventive care strategies.

• Maintain accurate and timely patient records in compliance with hospital policies and regulatory standards.

• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and continuing education to stay current with best practices in emergency medicine.

Qualifications:

• Current licensure as a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner in the state of Pennsylvania.

• Certification by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) or appropriate Nurse Practitioner certification.

• Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in an emergency department or urgent care setting preferred.

• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certifications required.

• Strong clinical skills with the ability to work independently and make informed decisions in high-pressure situations.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a commitment to providing compassionate patient care.

• Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays, as required in a 24/7 emergency department environment.
