Job Title: Physician Assistant/Nurse Practitioner – Emergency Department

Compensation: $115 per hour
Job Summary: We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Physician Assistant (PA) or Nurse Practitioner (NP) to join our Emergency Department team in Bristol, Pennsylvania. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality, patient-centered care in a fast-paced emergency setting, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to assess, diagnose, and treat a diverse patient population.
Key Responsibilities:

Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including history taking and physical examinations.

Order, interpret, and evaluate diagnostic tests to identify and assess patients' clinical problems and health care needs.

Develop and implement treatment plans; prescribe medications and therapies as appropriate.

Perform procedures such as suturing, splinting, and wound care, adhering to scope of practice regulations.

Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient care.

Educate patients and their families on health conditions, treatment plans, and preventive care strategies.

Maintain accurate and timely patient records in compliance with hospital policies and regulatory standards.

Participate in quality improvement initiatives and continuing education to stay current with best practices in emergency medicine.
Qualifications:

Current licensure as a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner in the state of Pennsylvania.

Certification by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) or appropriate Nurse Practitioner certification.

Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in an emergency department or urgent care setting preferred.

Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certifications required.

Strong clinical skills with the ability to work independently and make informed decisions in high-pressure situations.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a commitment to providing compassionate patient care.

Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays, as required in a 24/7 emergency department environment.
