Inpatient Trauma PA

A Level II Trauma Center in Neptune City, NJ is seeking a Locum Physician Assistant to support their Inpatient Trauma Surgery service. This is a high-acuity, procedure-heavy role requiring strong clinical skills in trauma or critical care.

Position Highlights:

• Schedule: 3 shifts per week, 12.5-hour shifts

• Approx. 60% nights / 40% days

• Contract Duration: April 12, 2024 – October 1, 2025

• Pay Rate: $125/hour

• Setting: Inpatient – Trauma Surgery

Responsibilities:

• Provide care for trauma and surgical patients in a fast-paced hospital setting

• Perform procedures including:

• Central line placement

• Arterial line placement

• Manage a patient load of 10–25 per shift

• Collaborate with trauma surgeons, intensivists, and nursing staff

• Conduct assessments, write progress notes, and coordinate patient care

Requirements:

• Active NJ Physician Assistant license

• CDS and DEA registrations (current)

• ATLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required

• Trauma or critical care experience is a must

• Prior experience in high-acuity, hospital-based settings
