Job Title: Locum Physician Assistant – Neurosurgery (Inpatient/Outpatient)
Locations: Hackensack (New Jersey)
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
Call: Variable, Based on Provider Need
Compensation: $110/hour

We are seeking a locum tenens Physician Assistant (PA) to join a busy Neurosurgery team, covering both inpatient and outpatient settings (50/50 split) at PMC and HUMC in New Jersey. This is a high-acuity, fast-paced role requiring trauma-level experience, with competitive hourly pay and the potential for long-term placement.

• Facilities: 2 Hospitals in Hackensack

• Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM

• Call: Variable, based on provider necessity

• Pay Rate: $110/hour

• Privileging Required

Job Responsibilities:

• First-assist in neurosurgical procedures

• Manage inpatient rounding, admissions, and discharges

• Handle outpatient clinic visits and post-op care

• Respond to consults and coordinate care in a trauma-level environment

• Work closely with neurosurgeons and advanced practice providers

Requirements:

• Active NJ PA license

• Up-to-date CDS and DEA

• Trauma-level experience is required

• Neurosurgery, neurology, or surgical specialty experience preferred

• Must be able to obtain hospital privileges at both PMC and HUMC

• Excellent clinical judgment and ability to multitask in a high-volume setting
