What You’ll Do:
- Collaborate and Communicate: Serve as the primary contact with customers, emergency responders, and external agencies through various communication tech – from radios to electronic systems. Identify urgent needs that impact traffic on our extensive network.
- Coordinate Critical Responses: Quickly dispatch essential resources including police, fire, medical, and hazardous material teams to manage roadway incidents.
- Monitor and Document: Keep a vigilant eye on traffic patterns using CCTV, weather services, and tracking systems to identify disruptions and log incident details.
- Hands-On Technology: Use advanced databases to run inquiries on behalf of law enforcement, and activate alerts for critical situations.
Your Background:
- Possession of a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of one year in emergency dispatch experience.
- Emergency Telecommunication Course certification is a must post-trial period.
- Firm grasp on CLEAN/NCIC certifications within 90 days, coupled with typing proficiency at 30 wpm.
- Spotless criminal history and required security clearances.
