Position Summary

The Content & Communications Manager will manage the creation and direction of all content-related marketing initiatives at PA Virtual across multiple platforms and formats. The ultimate goal of these efforts is to increase website traffic, drive engagement, and generate qualified leads. Additionally, the Content & Communications Manager will be responsible for managing all internal and external communications for the school ensuring consistency in message and distribution frequency.

Essential Responsibilities

  • CONTENT

Build and manage a rich content / editorial calendar with the plan to publish 2-3 pieces of new content (blog, video, e-guide, “In the News” articles, etc.) each week

Publish blogs to meet content goals

Grow blog subscriber base and expand the overall blog's reach

  • Provide training and written guidelines for staff blog writers
  • Review content, edit and provide feedback to staff blog writers
  • Write blogs as necessary to ensure publication goals are met
  • Publish videos to meet content goals
  • Recruit talent, develop the script, and create a production plan for video content

  • Monitor and organize PA Virtual’s YouTube channel content
  • Determine sources for content creation, both internally and externally
  • Optimize and promote content for search engines and lead generation
  • Review and manage website content to ensure information is accurate and up-to-date
  • Make recommendations to the team for creating new landing pages and conversion opportunities for lead generation

  • Serve as the primary website editor at PA Virtual, adding new pages and content to the website as needed or requested
  • Work closely with the Director of Marketing & Communications to develop content and ideas for new pillar pages, guides, and web re-designs
  • Responsible for the overall editorial direction of PA Virtual collateral and print campaigns, which includes design, production, and distribution
  • Develop ideas for new print content as needed

  • Review and approve all downloadable marketing content
  • Partner with the Enrollment team to review marketing email campaigns, as necessary
  • Analyze data on a regular basis and provide reports for content marketing efforts
  • Ensure written and verbal content consistently aligns with our tone, brand, and mission
  • Work closely with the Marketing team to brainstorm new ideas and develop new initiatives
  • Participate at PA Virtual Marketing events or programs
  • COMMUNICATIONS
  • Support the Chief Executive Officer on writing and producing urgent and timely communications (video or email)

  • Serves as the liaison between marketing and other departments to ensure the website, marketing materials, and other publications are up-to-date with school offerings and programs
  • Communicate with alumni to continue to build the PA Virtual Alumni network
  • Oversees maintenance of the alumni social media page

  • Develops content calendar for alumni social media outreach
  • Responds to inquiries via email and social media from alumni
  • Collaborates with internal Public Relations team
  • Ensure that staff are kept informed of internal marketing objectives
  • Non-Essential Responsibilities :

  • Other duties, special projects as assigned
  • Support enrollment team during peak enrollment season as necessary
  • Travel as required; PA Virtual marketing events, Graduation, in person marketing meetings
  • Education, Certifications, Experience :

  • Bachelor's degree in English, Journalism, Public Relations or related communications field
  • 3 years’ experience in a Marketing role required; experience in content management a plus
  • Experience in a school setting a plus
  • Experience using Hubspot preferred
  • Experience editing websites preferred
