Position Summary:
The Part-Time Valet is responsible for providing excellent customer service by managing the parking needs of guests attending events at the Pablo Center. This position will primarily work evenings and weekends in coordination with the show schedule, ensuring that patrons have a seamless and professional valet service experience. The valet will assist with parking vehicles, aiding guests, and ensuring the safety and security of parked cars.
Key Responsibilities:
- Guest Arrival & Departure:
- Greet guests with a friendly and professional demeanor as they arrive at the venue, providing efficient valet parking services.
- Safely park and retrieve guest vehicles in a timely and courteous manner, ensuring vehicles are parked according to center policies and in a manner that maintains the flow of traffic.
- Assist guests with vehicle-related inquiries or requests in a polite and respectful manner.
- Vehicle Handling & Safety:
- Ensure vehicles are parked securely, and that keys are handled responsibly and safely.
- Maintain vehicle organization, ensuring there is no damage to vehicles during the valet process and promptly reporting any accidents or damage.
- Maintain a high level of awareness regarding vehicle safety and security throughout the shift.
- Customer Service:
- Provide a high level of customer service, assisting guests with any additional needs such as directions, event information, or answering general questions about the venue.
- Ensure guests have a positive first and last impression of the Pablo Center by demonstrating professionalism, courtesy, and efficiency at all times.
- Traffic Management:
- Manage the flow of traffic in the valet area to ensure smooth and organized parking operations, especially during high-volume events.
- Communicate clearly and effectively with other team members to manage the valet area and assist with the arrival and departure process.
- General Support:
- Assist with maintaining the valet area’s cleanliness and organization, ensuring that the area is free of debris and easily navigable.
- Report any maintenance or security issues to the Guest Services Manager in a timely manner.
Compensation:
- Competitive hourly wage plus tips.
Qualifications:
- Previous valet or customer service experience preferred but not required.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to drive both manual and automatic transmission vehicles.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Availability to work evenings and weekends, especially during events and show times.
- Professional and friendly demeanor with the ability to handle sensitive situations with grace.
Working Conditions:
- This position is part-time and will require primarily evening and weekend availability, aligning with show schedules.
- The position involves working outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Physical requirements include the ability to stand for long periods, walk, and occasionally lift or assist with luggage or other items.
